Kimberly was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan and raised in Columbus, Ohio. After graduating high school and attending the Ohio State University for two years she decided to go to trade school. Luckily her best friend of six years, whom she had done nails with in her basement during school, was registered and wanted Kimberly to come to school as well. After graduating from the Ohio State School of Cosmetology she began working with her friend at a small salon near her home town. Shortly there after a larger Spa by the name of Charles Penzones Grand Salon was under construction closer to where she lived. Kimberly worked there for a little over a year before convincing her best friend to come and join her at the spa. They worked together for the company for an additional 7 years before she decided to move to California. After a six month waiting period to get her California license she took a lead nail tech position for the Beverly Hills Hotel Spa by Laparie where she was employed for six months.
