Swedish Massage technique is a
relaxing traditional European style of long, kneading strokes that relieves
muscular tension and improves circulation. Swedish massage feels good,
is relaxing and invigorating. It affects the nerves, muscles, glands,
and circulation, while promoting health and well being. The main purpose
of Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release
toxins from the muscles. This massage reduces stress, both emotional and
physical, and is suggested in a regular program for stress management
and total life wellness. If you've never had a massage before, this is
a great way to begin!
Chakra Energy Balancing Massage
provides a unique blend of traditional massage technique coupled with
an intuitive energy balancing. Chakra balancing and energy therapies are
based on the belief that the body has seven main energy centers along
the spine which absorb and emit life force. Each charka governs an area
of the body together with specific emotional issues. Poor health results
when blockages occur due to bad nutrition, drugs, injury or mental and
emotional problems within the chakras of the body. Chakra Balancing Massage
works to eliviate these energy blockages bringing your energy system back
into balance, which exends to all aspects of your life.
Deep Tissue Massage is a deeper and
slower bodywork technique that penetrates below the superficial muscle
layers to release accumulated stress and tension. Deep Tissue massage
is beneficial to your health. When muscles are stressed, they block oxygen
and nutrients, leading to inflammation that builds up toxins in the muscle
tissue. This massage technique helps loosen muscle tissues, release toxins
from muscles and get blood and oxygen circulating properly. Deep tissue
massage helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue. It is both corrective
and therapeutic.
Reflexology Massage manipulates
specific trigger points located in the feet and hands which coorespond
to various organs and muscles helping to balance the central nervous system
and calm the mind. Reflexology involves the application of deep pressure
to these reflex points in order to loosen calcium obstructions and free
the nerve pathways. One of the basic principles of reflexology is relaxation.
The benefits of massaging the hands and feet go beyond comforting relief
for just those areas. We know that as long as 4,000 to 5,000 years ago
in China, India and Egypt, specific points on patients' feet and hands
were manipulated to affect healing in other parts of the body. These treatments
were based on energy channels (qi or chi in Chinese and Japanese medicine,
prana in Hindu) that flow through specific meridians or zones in the body.

Therapeutic Sport Massage is a deeper form of soft tissue massage which uses specific techniques to treat physically active individuals, who may be more vulnerable to injury because of the stresses placed on the body by their sport. The sports massage therapist may also advise on stretching or strengthening exercises as appropriate to work in conjunction with treatment. You don't have to be a sportsperson to feel the benefits! Muscular tension, stress and fatigue can affect all of us, whether we are competitive or recreational athletes, Do-it-Yourself fanatics, gardeners, busy housewives, or stressed executives. Active or sedentary - you should find massage relaxing and therapeutic. Therapeutic sport massage is also great in the pre-event situation, whether your needs are for relaxation or stimulation, post-event relaxation or recovery.
